If you have bought a hushabye product, thank you and well done - you have invested in a high quality British design and upholstered item. To get the most from your purchase, please read these guidelines carefully then have a lie down for a well earned rest.
The luxurious quality of a hushabye mattress is defined by what’s inside. Namely, the finest materials
When turning or rotating your mattress (see below) please be careful to avoid injury to yourself or damage to property. We recommend that two or more people grip the mattress on the tape edging between the top panel and border to turn. The handles are not designed to take the weight of the mattress and are intended for final adjustment once it is in place. Do not bend or kink the mattress in any way, as this will damage the springs within. If the mattress is to be stored, it should be laid flat rather than on its side or end.
The fillings will naturally settle during the life of the mattress. The main settlement occurs within the first year, and is perfectly natural. To even out this settlement and extend the life of your natural backcare mattress, we recommend you do the following simple thing:
In the first 3 months turn every 2 weeks. After that turn every 3 months.
Take a look at the little sketches for a bit of extra help.
edj in a non-turn mattress, but should be rotated 180 degrees every 3 months
If the product requires cleaning, we recommend you use professional upholstery cleaners. Please contact your retailer for details. Do not use a vacuum cleaner, as this will disturb the fillings. Do not use chemical cleaners or liquids of any sort – any marks or spillages should be soaked up with an absorbent cloth and the mattress should be left to air until it dries.
Your lovely new hushabye headboard is made from a natural linen fabric.
Natural linen should be kept away from direct sunlight and direct heat from radiators or fires as this will always cause colours to fade or change colour, so if possible, position your bed/headboard away from possible sources of heat and direct sunlight. We hope you agree this makes perfect sense.
The fabric on your base should be cared for in the same way as the headboard, above.
